Shore Foundation
We've designed this site to be a resource for nonprofit organizations
in the South
Shore area of north central Arkansas and south central Missouri.
South Shore Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization
working to enhance
the quality of life in the South Shore - Bull Shoals - Arkansas
region.
Chartered in late 1996, South Shore Foundation is funded
by the Northern Arkansas
Telephone Company, a family-owned company located in Flippin,
Arkansas, which
provides telecommunications services to an area containing
658 square miles in
Marion and Boone counties in Arkansas and in extreme southwest
Missouri.
South Shore Foundation awards scholarships for academic achievers
in each area
school district and promotes education for all ages. The
Foundation values the
natural environment as a basis for the South Shore way of
life and believes
telecommunications can be employed to advance economic opportunity
and
community betterment.
Only nonprofit organizations which have IRS determination
as tax-exempt
[IRS Code Section 501(c)(3)], may apply
for grants from South Shore Foundation.
The applicants should be based in or serve the South Shore.
Nonprofit organizations may apply for funding from South
Shore Foundation.
Some examples are: church organizations, public or private
educational institutions,
art centers, museums, and local governments.
Foundation Mission
In its selection of projects for funding, South
Shore Foundation strives to enhance
the quality of life in the service area of Northern Arkansas
Telephone Company to
accomplish goals of educational advancement, environmental
preservation and
economic development.

institutions and
government agencies located in or serving the South Shore.
