Cotter
- a River Town and Trout Capital, USA
The White River and
Cotter go together like a float trip and shore lunch. One
part of the annual Cotter Trout Festival is a shore lunch
cooking contest. A fish fry follows at the Big Spring Park.
Scenic Big Spring Park is open year-round with a children's
playground, ball fields, and a swimmin' hole for young visitors
and a picturesque memorial to railroad workers, including
a recap of the town's history. Railroading has been a part
of Cotter since about 1905.
