The South Shore
Foundation Board of Directors said good-bye to members completing
their terms at the end of 2004. Two of those completing their terms,
Dr. David Land and Margaret Hall, have been members since the foundation’s
first meeting in 1997.
Dr. Land, as
the school superintendent of Omaha Public Schools, had worked with
NATCO in the early 1990s to bring distance learning technology into
the rural Arkansas schools, such as Omaha. Margaret Hall, mayor
of Bull Shoals since 2002, contributed to the board from her experience
in a health care profession and was interested in all projects,
especially those dealing with education and technology. Ms. Volltrauer,
vice president of sales and marketing at Volt Industrial Plastics
at Flippin, drew from her perspective as a businessperson in local
industry.
Each of the
retiring board members received an engraved clock as a token of
appreciation.
