Interior
Highlands Workshop to End Commercial Logging on Our National Forests
October 5-7
September 2001
Learn to make
a difference of historic proportions at the Interior Highlands Workshop
to End Commercial Logging on Our National Forests, October 5-7,
2001 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
This workshop
is designed to give activists the information, resources and skills
needed to organize an end to taxpayer-subsidized logging on the
forests owned by all Americans. Whether you have National Forests
in your backyard or not, this training will give you the tools to
plan a successful campaign in your community to protect the biggest
forests, the oldest trees, the cleanest watersheds and the best
remaining habitat on the continent from logging. This workshop will
be held at the Mount Sequoyah Conference Center in the scenic foothills
of the Ozark Mountains. Keynote speakers will be Chad Hanson of
the John Muir Project and national Sierra Club Board of Directors,
and several educational and inspiring activities are planned. Please
join us.
