Hank Hudson of Bull Shoals, owner of Bel’ Arco
Resort, is a new member of the South Shore Foundation Board of
Directors, the charitable division of NATCO Communcations in
Flippin. The term is for three years.
Hudson has been in business in Bull Shoals since 2002 and previously
owned a business in Doniphan, Mo. He also lived in Fort Smith where
he managed the Sheraton Hotel. Originally from southern Oklahoma,
he attended college at Oklahoma State University.
Active in the hotel/motel business for 40
years, Hudson was president of the Arkansas Motel Association
in 1981-82. He said he enjoys meeting people at travel shows
and informing them about the Bull Shoals community. He is also
a board member for Bull Shoals Lake – White
River Chamber of Commerce, Bull Shoals Theatre of the Arts, and
the Bull Shoals City Planning and Zoning Board.
Hudson said he was looking forward to being
a part of the South Shore Foundation Board and “trying to do things to help the
area advance.” He noted that when he is on the road, he spends
time promoting the entire area, not just Bull Shoals.
Hudson attends the First Baptist Church at Flippin. He has a grown
daughter in Fayetteville, a grown son in Springdale, and one grandson.
South Shore Foundation awards grants to nonprofit agencies for
projects of educational advancement, environmental preservation,
and economic development. It funds college and vocational scholarships
for Marion, Boone, and Baxter county students. For more information
