Dyess Joins South Shore Foundation Board

John Dyess of
Yellville is a new member of the South Shore Foundation Board of
Directors. He is the president of two companies, Altronic Research
Inc., which manufactures equipment for the broadcast industry, and
Power Film Systems. Dyess begins a three-year term in February.
South Shore Foundation’s parent company is Northern Arkansas
Telephone Company.
Dyess said he
was pleased to accept the position on the South Shore Foundation
Board because of his interest in community and economic development.
Dyess has lived in the area for more than 30 years. He previously
lived at Grand Prairie, Texas, and attended the University of Texas
at Arlington. Under his leadership, Altronic Research received the
national Presidential E-Star Award for Excellence in Exporting and
yearly Arkansas Quality Awards. Additional awards include the Radio
World Cool Stuff Award in 2003, and the Arkansas Better Business
Bureau Torch Award in 2004.
Dyess is chairman
of the Marion County Regional Airport, chairman of the local Arkansas
Workforce Board, and is a past Justice of the Peace on the Marion
County Quorum Court from District 9. He serves on the board of Branson
Bank in Branson, Mo.
Dyess is a charter
member of Mid-Marion County Rotary Club and a member of Living Word
Church. His interests include farming, flying, sailing, and skiing.
Dyess and his wife, Ann, have two sons and three daughters, one
at home.
