Three students receiving 2006 South Shore Foundation Endowed Scholarships
to attend Arkansas State University Mountain Home are pictured with Dr.

Four Arkansas
State University Mountain Home students have been named recipients
of the 2006 South Shore Foundation ASUMH Endowed Scholarships.
Recipients are chosen by the ASU Mountain Home Scholarship Committee.
The financial assistance is funded by an endowment to the ASU
Foundation from South Shore Foundation, the charitable arm of
NATCO at Flippin.
Each student
receiving this scholarship is studying math, science, technology,
or preparing to teach math, science or technology.
The recipients,
their degree program, and career plans are as follows: Janet
Atkinson of Pontiac, Mo., associate of arts, nuclear science;
Katie Broskovak of Cotter, associate of applied science, funeral
science; Amy McLean of Mountain Home, associate of applied science,
information systems; Sally Stone of Summit, associate of arts
in teaching, early childhood education.
South Shore
Foundation specifies that recipients must reside in Baxter, Marion,
or Boone County. The scholarship currently pays $635 per semester
and may be renewed up to a maximum of four semesters or until
completion of the associate degree, provided the applicant maintains
a 3.0 grade point average.
Applications
for a South Shore Foundation Endowed Scholarship are available
annually from the Arkansas State University Mountain Home Financial
Aid Office and are due each year by April 15.
