Plans for the Kick-Off Picnic on August 15, 2005 include the
following:
Everett Long will provide watermelon.
Arvest Bank will provide grill and cooks—Randy Livingston
and Tommy Dorsey.
Hamburgers, Hot dogs, and buns will be obtained by Randy
Livingston
Juice drinks will be Beverly Cothran.
Janelle Kirkwood will bring 8 bags of ice.
Chips/Dips/Snacks—Renee Myers
Condiments/Paper goods/Utensils – Renee Myers
Set
Up will begin about
4:30 to 5:00 P.M. for the picnic. Renee requested assistance
in setting up for interactive games (filling of water balloons,
etc.) All board members will be receiving invitations to picnic
via email due to time constraints. Thank you for your understanding.
Next
item of business is to set agenda for Little Rock trip on
September 27, 2005.
Meet at Yellville at 7 A.M.
Bruno-Pyatt students will be picked up at either the school
or Beverly Cothran’s house depending upon route taken
by bus.
Bus will be provided by Yellville. Terry at B-P is available
to drive bus.
Capitol Tour begins at 10:30 A.M.
Lunch at Capitol Cafeteria at 11:30 A.M.
The following people will be making contact with these elected
officials to meet with the students:
Representative Monty Davenport—Janell Kirkwood.
Senator Shawn Womack—Dale Query
Representative Randy Laverty—Beverly Cothran
Museum of Discovery at 1 P.M.
*Tentative tour of the Clinton Library if time is available.*
Inform students about security checks when entering library
. No inappropriate items should be on person, i.e. pocket
knives, scissors, etc.
Ryan's Steakhouse at 5 P.M.
Gator Park at 7 P.M.
All
will be staying at 4-H Center.
September 28, 2005
Breakfast at 7:30 A.M. Have all your items out of rooms
before 8:30 A.M.
Lunch at center also.
Ropes Course from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Dinner at CiCi’s Pizza in Conway.
Arrival back in Yellville 7 to 8 P.M.
Release
forms given out to schools for the trip.
Election
of officers for 2005-06.
Renee
stated that Randy Livingston had indicated to her that he
would like to take a leadership role, and Tera Payne also
stated that Randy had also become Chairman of the Adult Leadership
Team.
Julie
Beaver motioned that Randy Livington and Renee Myers be nominated
for Co-chairpersons to alleviate any scheduling issues. Beverly
Cothran seconded the motion. Renee Myers stated that Julie
Beaver serves as secretary at this time. Janell Kirkwood motioned
that all nominations stand at this time. All nominated were
then voted unanimously to respective posts. Vicki Fogerty
was also nominated to remain as treasurer pending her acceptance
of the office at this time.
Last
item of business discussed was the switching of the NATCO
and Ranger Boats programs. NATCO agreed to their program being
in April. Renee will be contacting Mike Rotenberry at Ranger
to set date for March program. Flippin and Bruno-Pyatt schools
indicated that the first week in March would be best for them.
No
further business to be discussed. Meeting was adjourned at
1:00 P.M.
