Grant coordinators from the Arkansas
Department of Rural Services, Richard Harris and Pam Ullrich,
were two of the five guest speakers at the June 7 South
Shore Foundation Grants Workshop 2000.

The first of its kind in this area, Grants Workshop 2000 signed
in 118 participants. The half-day session provided information about
applying for grants, state-offered grants, grant resources at libraries
and on the Internet, private foundations, nonprofit organization
tax requirements, packets of information, and an opportunity to
talk with others about grant funding. South Shore Foundation of
Flippin was the organizer and sponsor of the event. A video of the
workshop will be available for viewing by other interested parties.
