More than 600 people registered for the 29th Annual Governor’s Conference March 16-18 in Fort Smith. Two of the headline speakers were Sam Gilliland, president and chief executive of travelocity.com, and Clyde Fessler, retired vice president of business development for the Harley-Davidson Motor Company.

An auction during the conference raised more than $62,000 to benefit the Arkansas Hospitality and Tourism Education Foundation. The Foundation supports scholarships for Arkansas students pursuing in-state hospitality careers. The Henry Awards were given out during the Governor’s Banquet, recognizing individuals, businesses and organizations that have distinguished themselves over the past year.
