Outdoors Magazine to Make Spring Debut

Eric Howerton of Fayetteville hopes to inspire people to explore Arkansas' outdoors through Get Out magazine set to debut this spring. Howerton will serve as publisher of the full-color, glossy magazine, which will be published six times a year. "Get Out magazine is the outdoor enthusiast's dream publication," he said. "We will cover anything and everything concerning outdoor recreation, education and nutrition in the state of Arkansas." It will be distributed primarily in northwest Arkansas, but Howerton hopes to eventually distribute it throughout the rest of the state. Readers will be able to find the magazine at coffee houses, book retail stores, outdoor outfitters and many other outdoor related areas. Get Out magazine will be free to the public for the first few issues. Howerton is a freelance writer and former photographer at the Northwest Arkansas Times, a Fayetteville newspaper.
