Six South Shore area schools participated in the annual contests, including students from Bergman, Bruno-Pyatt, Flippin, Lead Hill, Omaha, and Yellville-Summit. The coloring contest was open to students in kindergarten through fourth grade, while the fifth through eighth grade students participated in the essay contest. Winners received a certificate, ribbon and cash prize.
