NATCO Tech Introduces Accelerator for Dialup

A new service from NATCO Technologies speeds up delivery of Web pages to a personal computer, according to Steven Sanders Jr., vice president of NATCO. It is proving to be popular with customers, he said. Using Propel® Accelerator NATCO Technologies Edition brings Web pages to the dialup customer up to five times faster.

Sanders said, "It works through intelligent browser caching and compression with a patent-pending technology to eliminate repetitious connections that a browser would make with each request to find a Web page." The software runs in the background, maintaining connections to the Propel Network which reduces both the distance data must travel and the amount of data transmitted.

Retrieval times for Web pages are up to five times faster than without Propel Accelerator NATCO Technologies Edition. Research shows Mapquest.com loads in five seconds with the accelerator compared to 30 seconds before the accelerator, and Ebay loads in three seconds with the accelerator compared to 12 seconds without it.
